In development Snow Sleuth is still being made, so things may change, and the iPhone app isn’t out yet.

Snow Sleuth

Who slid first?

Last night the penguins slid across the ice, and their tracks are still in the snow. Read them, then replay the night in the right order.

A new puzzle every day, free. Made for iPhone.

A night on the ice from the game: six penguins, their tracks and their flags, with three slides already replayed.

Read the tracks

Every night is a small mystery with one right answer.

  1. An orange penguin sliding along its track towards its flag.

    Follow the tracks

Last night, every penguin slid out of its home and left a track in the snow, ending at its flag.

  2. A green penguin stopped by another penguin on the ice.

    Replay a slide

Tap a penguin and it slides along its track until something stops it: a rock, the edge of the ice or another penguin.

  3. Out of order: the green penguin slides past its flag.

    Find the order

Each penguin has to stop right at its flag. Slide them out of order and one misses, so you try again.

Stuck? A hint shows you a track whose slide works right now. Springs, cracked ice and rockhoppers turn up as the nights get harder, and the game shows you each one the first time you meet it.

A new night every day

Everyone plays the same puzzle, and it’s always a hard one.

  • Seven or eight penguins, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays a piece from one of the packs.
  • Keep a streak going. Miss a day and a streak shield can save it: you start with one and earn another every 30 days.
  • See how everyone else did, and share your result without giving the answer away.
The game’s Daily Challenge card: today’s night in small, marked hard, with a Play button.
